Bundys have always sounded OK and are quite durable. But the archaic
keywork makes them undesireable for serious playing. My first tenor was an
old Bundy, and I had a Buescher alto that was a perfect match for it,
differing only in lacquer color and the name engraved on it. Once I
acquired my Mark VI alto, I realised how ergonomically inferior the Bundy
was and ditched it for a Yamaha 52 pronto!

By the way, the guy who plays 2nd alto in the big band I play lead in uses
a 1938-vintage Buescher. Sweet-sounding horn! He is the ORIGINAL owner!

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is too loud.
