Ryan,

I believe that what you are talking about has already been done. There
is a machine called a ReeDuAl made by a gentleman in Florida that works
like a key-cutting machine. After speaking with him he tells me that
he's made improvements on this machine and that it is now accurate to
within .015". Granted, you need a model reed from which to work from.

Many of the "tricks" of reedmaking vary greatly with each reed and
because of this I don't know how possible it is to make a machine that
deals with this huge a number of variances. Can you explain more
because perhaps I'm not cluing in on your ideas. Thanks.
