I have recently acquired a Leblanc BBb Contrabass clarinet, Model 340, the
curved one to low C. I'm making good progress with this monster in the
blowing department -- my main problem is putting it down! This becomes a
real problem when doubling.

Can anyone recommend a suitable stand? The K&M bass stand could perhaps be
modified if I could find someone to make a larger bracket. I have also seen
mentioned in catalogues the "Classic" contrabass stand, but none of the
dealers I have spoken to has actually seen one.

Before ordering this stand I should like to know if it is suitable for my
particular contra -- since all other models are a completely different shape
I can't imagine it could hold them all. Does anyone have any experience of
the Classic stand?
