The CS series has integral tone holes. The CX has inserted toneholes. They
just drill out big holes in the body, shape the actual tonehole out of a
seperate piece of wood (?) and fit it into the big hole. This makes it
easier to fashion the toneholes, do the undercutting, etc. Apparently they
don't think it harms anything, since the CX is a pro-line instrument. And
if it is indeed true that all the sound is from the vibrating air column
and not vibrating wood, they should be correct. CX lists at $2500. Don't
have CS price handy.

I have no info on the SE. Sorry.
