The definition of "band geek" is a person who owns his own alto clarinet. I am
and I do. I just don't play one on tv. Mine's a Leblanc Paris wood alto. It
makes a fine substitute in my woodwind ensemble when we would ordinarily need
a bassoon for a particular piece. And I can actually hold the darn thing (cf.
bass clarinet).

Yes, I am the ultimate clarinet nerd. Hmmm. Come to think of it I'm the
"ultimate nerd nerd."
