Well you can hear it here! I've played Yamaha clarinets in the Richmond
Symphony since 1985. The reason I switched was that 1.) I liked the scale
better than my Buffets, and 2.) The keywork seemed a good bit sturdier,
an important consideration when you play as much as I do every week. I
got tired of being at the repair tech's. I've played some very nice
Leblanc Opuses (Opii?!?), but not enough to make me run out and buy one.
I've had students buy Yamaha 72's (various flavors, CS, SE, CX), and been
very happy with them.
