i'm not a sax major, but I played alto sax for about 6 years. I have an
Amati Graglice (sp?) alto, and i had always thought it played fairly well,
except for the leaky low c key, until I had the priveledge of playing on a
friends Selmer, it was amazing. I still play sax everyonce in a while,
even though the sax embouchure is ruining my clarinet embouchure (only
because i don't play sax right), but still remember what it was like to
play the Selmer. It was an uplifting experience.
