Subj: [kl] PC music editing programs

I have recently come across a very good music editing program that would be
quite suitable for any kind of at-home arranging and transposing. It is
not as complexe (or complete?) as Finale, but it is easy to use. It is
called "Music Time - Deluxe" and I believe it is by Passport. I think it
can be purchased at Best Buy stores for about $80. I have been using it
this year and it works quite well. If you have a midi keyboard, you can
play the music directly into your computer. I don't have a midi keyboard,
but the program has a QWERTY keyboard (QWERTY = the keys on your computer
keyboard). You can therefore "play" your computer keyboard, with each
letter representing a designated pitch! It really is quite easy.
