I don't know about Amati or Vespro, but L.A. Sax makes a darn good
soprano and tenor (Hey, now they make a good contrabass!!!) ;-)
I've heard that they do have some quality control problems though...some
horns are incredible while others are refuse. If you're intrested, it's
best to try a few and choose the one you like best. Chances are that, if
you try 3, at least 1 or 2 of them will be good. Right know I'm anxiously
awaiting a chance to play the new contrabass. Has anyone out there played
it yet???

P.S.-any one else out there like the old Malerne Paris Proffesional
clarinets???
