I've never tried, and so I can't really say. What I meant is that the woods resembled
each other visually more than the other types of woods. I don't think oak would work
well. It doesn't seem strong enough to make that thin. The pores are very prominant
in oak. I'd think it would most likely crack before being finished. But it would be
interesting to see if I am right in that hypothesis.
