The reason they do this is that the manufacturers do not ALLOW them to
print their prices. Apparently, Leblanc does not mind having the
catalogues undercutting their retail dealers, but many manufacturers
protect their other dealers (to a miniscule degree) by allowing the
catalogues to list the products, but not the prices, so if you really want
to know, you at least have to make an effort. Some, like Selmer and UMI,
do not even allow that.
