Back around 1990 when I got my D clarinet, I was passing through
Richmond,VA and tried the Poulenc Sonata for Two Clarinets with Marta
Schworm, who plays Eb in the Richmond Symphony. As I recall, there
wasn't anything remarkable about the new instrumentation except that it
was harder. If you love eeffers, then you'll love the Eb and D version,
otherwise...
