Mozart wrote five lovely trios for two basset horns and bassoon (K. 439b)
The melodies are so appealing that they've been rearranged for many different
combinations of instruments over the years and published variously as
Petites Pieces, Divertimentos and Serenades.

The first of the five is on my Web page (as Finale version 3.0 .MUS and
Type 1 MIDI files)and listed as Serenade No. 1 for Clarinet Trio. The world
premier Banso performance will take place this afternoon in NSM C239 on
the campus of California State University Dominguez Hills at 3 pm Pacific
Daylight Time. I anticipate playing for the usual unobtrusive and sedate,
if not
enthusiastic audience (I'd probably faint dead away if anyone ever showed up!)
