>From a collector's standpoint, you might want to look for any of the old
Leopold Wlach recordings on Westminster (particularly the Brahms Sonatas
and the Mozart Concerto). I have seen copies in good condition listed
at $200 in the Ars Antiqua catalog. Also prized as collector's items
are Reginald Kell's old recordings. If you come across Gervaise
DePeyer's recording of the Hoddinott Clarinet Concerto on Decca, that
would be a great find because it's the only available recording (that
I'm aware of) of a wonderful piece. I once heard the last two movements
on a radio broadcast. I would love to have a copy or a tape dub.
