Personally, I was using bass clarinet reeds for the first 2 years while
playing the instrument. About a year ago, I ran out, and a tenor sax I knew
let me borrow his, just to see if it'd work, and it did. It worked better
than my bass clarinet reeds, and the sound I got was nicer.

Personally, I prefer tenor sax reeds more because there's a larger selection
out there, they're sometimes cheaper, and overall, they're thicker at the
base kind of, so you have more to work with if you like to use your reed
knife or reed rush and work it.
