I never used anything but tenor sax reeds on bass clarinet. It was
Rosario Mazzeo who suggested it to me and it was a brilliant idea.
I can't tell you what strength you might need but you can diddle
around 'till you find the right strength. I think I used to use
Van Doren medium.
