Klarinet Archive - Posting 001534.txt from 1998/04
From: Mark Charette <charette@-----.com> Subj: [klarinet] Klarinet list options Date: Mon, 27 Apr 1998 14:53:45 -0400
You've probably noticed that all subject lines in the
Klarinet mailing list now have a tag in them:
"[klarinet]". I've put that in on purpose, to allow those
people who have mail filters in their mailer to put the
Klarinet list postings into a distinct folder. I've received
a couple of requests to eliminate the "[klarinet]" in the
Subject, due to it sorting incorrectly or taking up too
much subject space.
I use filters and threads to keep track of the postings from
this and one other list, and my filters are based on keywords
in the Subject line, but I'm sure not everyone does the
same thing. If you have an opinion either way, please let me
know. I can turn it off.
Re: the Reply-to address being the same as the list address:
it's running 8-7 in favor of the status quo, leaving the
Reply-to: address as the list address. Seems there aren't too
many opiions either way. Unless I get a flood of votes in
soon asking to change the way the list works, I'll leave it
as is.
Cheers,
