Subj: [klarinet] material confusion
Date: Mon, 27 Apr 1998 06:10:48 -0400

This re-discussion of materials making a difference is disturbing me. I know
the deal on physics, acoustics, etc. of how these factors may or may not
affect sound and feel of the instrument. The reason why I'm disturbed is that
next Saturday I am headed to New York to buy a new set of Buffets. I have
convinced myself Greenline is the way to go - I am only trying Greens, BTW.
The only Greenline owner I know of is an oboist. He said it plays and feels
better than his Loree, but I need to know the skinny on the clarinets.

I would appreciate some feedback on who has them, who's tried them, and what
you think (positive and negative). I cannot afford to have any doubts about
this investment. You can privately e-mail if you don't want to clutter the
list. Thanks.
