Yes the Selmer factory in France also gives tours. I was surprised to find
that they are in the same block as the Buffet factory in Mantes la Ville.
You take the local train from Paris to Mantes Station and it is a 5 minute
walk from there on Rue Maurice-Bereaux. I arranged a Buffet tour by
calling Fabienne Carnavin at 30-98-51-30 from Paris (add the prefix 01 if
calling from outside of France.) They give an excellent tour and let you
try out instruments if you are interested in buying.
I second the recommendation to visit Rue de Rome which is lined with music
store of all types.
