Who had that job? I just played a job with the daughter(cellist) of one of
the longtime retired members of the CSO Clarinet section (30 years) who
passed away this past summer (she was telling me, I will get more details
soon). She said he played either 2nd, or asst. to Brody. I can't recall his
name. She remembered Yeh's name, so she thinks it was Yeh that replaced him.

It was Jerome Stowell, who passed away back then. He was the long-time
assistant/E-flat player. Larry Combs succeeded him in that position, to be
succeeded by John Yeh (who was already the bass player!) when Larry assumed
the principal chair upon Brody's retirement. Whew!
