David,
Southern Music has a small booklet, written for them by David Hite (you
probably have it) identifying different levels of performance and
appropriate solos at each level (published by Southern, of course). I
think you could find some appropriate suggestions there and, if I recall
correctly, much of Southern's catalog is below $10.
BTW, what is on the current list?
