These guys do go to instrument repair schools, but last I checked they are
dwindling in number. Ferree's (they market repair parts, tools, and
supplies) has one, I think. And there was (may still be) a college in Iowa
that offered a degree. I have never seen anyone hang their diploma or
certification on the wall, though.
