I hate to burst your bubble, but I know several people who played in the EWE
when that record was made and there are MANY MANY splices in every track on
that album, including moto perpetuo.

Most people would be surprised (shocked? outraged?) to learn how much splicing
goes into most digital productions these days. That's why it's dangerous to
judge anyone's playing based on their recordings. You really have to hear them
live to judge. The truly great ones sound much better in person (Leister is a
perfect example of this). Often, you'll hear someone live for the first time
and then REALLY wonder how many takes they used on the cd!
