Visit http://www.sneezy.org/clarinet/Study/CircularBreathing.html
for instructions by Dr. Robert Spring of Arizona State University
(reprinted on sneezy by permission :)

Making the sound of circular breathing unobtrusive, especially in
a recording situation, is especially important. Even sounds such
as a bass clarinet peg scraping a bit on the floor can end up
being heard on a recording ("Blues for Sabine", one of my favorite
records, is _so_ clear that you can hear the sounds of the keywork,
chairs squeaking, and the aforementioned scraping of the bass
clarinet peg when listening through headphones on those insomnia-
incurred late night listenings).
