I should be getting a Normandy plastic plateau system clarinet within the next
few weeks. It needs an overhaul, and I will do that before selling it.

I recently overhauled another plastic plateau clarinet, and it is being used
with great enthusiasm by a lady in the Midwest who lost part of her right ring
finger in an accident. Now she can play clarinet again...and getting over the
break is no problem for her at all!

Anyway, I sold that plateau system clarinet for $225 and do not anticipate
charging more for the one I expect to get soon. If your teacher's student is
interested, please contact me directly by email. Meantime, I will send you via
email a photo of the plateau clarinet that I recently fixed so you can see
what one looks like. If anyone else would like the photo, let me know. These
are reasonably rare instruments but charging someone $800 is outrageous in my
opinion.
