This is very interesting and is worth looking into. I should write him to ask
which series of cartoons he might have played on. There is a cd called "The
Carl Stalling Project" with Warner cartoon music soundtrack takes on it, but
from what I have heard of it, the clarinetist(s) are not Gallodoro. He has a
beautiful sound and whoever plays on this does not.

However, the part about playing studio gigs no mere mortal could approach
technically (on both sax and clarinet) is no doubt true. I have never heard
technique like his in my life! Plus, his intonation is always spot-on (Selmer
Clarinets and Saxophones, btw). I wish someone would remaster and reissue his
Brahms Quintet. . .

I got this tip from Bernie Portnoy when I studied with him at Indiana
University. Apparently, Gallodoro was more-or-less permanently on call
for all kinds of studio and commercial work when the parts were too
technical for normal mortals!>>
