Liz, do you think you could muster support for your band by giving special
invitations to local business owners, politicians, and professional musicians
who live in your area? Maybe you could even call the concert a "gratitude"
performance for the support these people show for the arts. When the principal
of your school finds out that some of the community's movers and shakers have
been invited to your concerts, she might suddently get interested in what the
band is doing. I wouldn't be surprised if you find her standing at the
entrance to your auditorium the night of the performance to "greet" your
auspicious guests.

You could enlist your parents' help in assembling the list of invitees. You
could create special invitations on your computer(s) and send them or deliver
them to business owners etc. This would especially be appreciated by those
businesses that give money to your band already.
