I don't know--my last chemistry class was 15-20 years ago. I've been
doing it on my mouthpieces for 25 years, though, and have not noticed
any changes at all in them, ever.

Does the Acetic acid dissolve the mouthpiece or affect the rubber at
all?
Maybe someone with a knowledge of chemistry could answer this.
