you go fishing when it's not raining? wow!, i don't think that's

neither would they (in your world -- plainly inappropriate over here
just now) on a solar powered laptop.
the technology _will_ get better. mark's comments about the superior
resolution of paper will be overcome in time (i've seen an
experimental notebook machine which is astounding in that respect).
whether a high-tech solution will ever be the *regular* replacement
for printed parts is difficult to imagine. i can see uses for it in
some situations, though, even now -
- teaching
- student practice guides
- distributed chamber music (experiments going on with this in
scottish universities right now)
