I'm a musician(amateur)/scientist(less amateur) in the wine industry
(winemaker, wine researcher, wine microbiologist, Ph.D. in Food Science)
with a great literary explanation for the connection:

That says it all for me. But you should never make them "one" at the
same time if you value the quality of your playing.
