Logically, I imagine it being difficult to get the acetone
to the threads of the screw in order to dissolve the nail
polish while the screw is fully secured in its rod. And
on bass clarinet, this is a fairly long screw. Is this an
example of unsound visualization on my part (no blind or
deaf jokes, thank you)? Is it likely that the acetone
would make its way down the length of the screw if I just
put a drop of it on the screw head, hoping that it would
seep downward onto the threads inside the rod?
