Sure you can get a job with a bass clarinet degree (which I have never
heard of!)....there is Kinko's, McDonald's, Menards, any good doughnut
store!
A performance degree does not get you a performance job. I don't have a
performance degree or one in clarinet......but I have done a fair share of
professional playing in some excellent orchestras. You will get the job
if you win the audition (although a degree is sometimes necessary to be
accepted for an audition!!).
