Does anyone have any suggestions for appropriate metronome markings in
the 6/8 portion of Weber's Concertino, Op. 26. Presently, I am using
dotted quarter @-----.

Also, I am playing the piece with band and we are looking for cuts. Any
ideas on how to cut with disturbing the continuity? I am planning on
cutting from the end of the clarinet solo at "Variation 2" (the
sixteenth notes runs in the 4/4 section) to eight bars before the
clarinet solo begins at the Risoluto portion of the 6/8 (where the 1
2+3+4+5+6+ runs commence). We may need to cut further still though, so
any additional hints would be helpful.

Thanks in advance!!

Sincerely,
