For a local kinda place, $630 is a good price on an E-11. Mail order, cost
is $550, no tax. The E-11 is made in W. Germany, R-13 is Paris. E-11 is
student (beginner, intermediate), and R-13 is Professional. I find more of
a variance with the R-13 then the E-11. The E-11's have their limitations,
but are quite consistent in terms of average playability. (IMHO)

My advice would be to sell it yourself. By way of an example, I
reciently paid $630.00 for my E-11 and was informed by my instructor
that it was a pretty good deal here in Tucson. Then I had pads replaced
and the thumb rest moved. I've been playing for about 9 months, so
pardon the question, but what is the difference between the E-11 and the
R-13. I noticed a playing ease and tone improvement when I got my E-11
over the 1940's Peddler that I was renting. Is it the same sort of
improvements? Just curious, starting at the ripe old age of 40, I
don'tsee myself at Madison Square Gardens ( maybe my kids though) :)
