Dear Dam,
Does your mouthpiece have just a film of built up "gunk" on the inside or is
it also a build up of calcium from the saliva, like the build up dentists
remove when they clean your teeth?
If it is just everyday dirt then some warm water (not hot) and some cotton
wool or cotton buds or something suitably soft to wipe the inside of your
mouthpiece should do. I don't advocate using the pull-through all the time
as this may adversely affect the shape of the inner rails. It is a good idea
to wash the mouthpiece regularly for obvious hygiene reasons and so that
more permanent deposits don't form.
Good luck.
