Actually, I've been waiting and waiting for Dan to castigate me
thoroughly for using irony in a wanton, reckless and irresponsible way
(a sin which I believe he also committed in the last paragraph of his
message). As my act of contrition I promise, promise, promise never
ever to do it again (at least until tomorrow). BTW, Dan, do you
remember what happened the last time I used my irony recklessly?
FYI, no one who chose to view my message as an English quiz scored
higher than 37.5% -- so... you all fail. No curve. No appeal. No
retest. I will, however, award 10 points extra credit (for research
skill) to the first person who can correctly answer the question at the
end of my above paragraph.
Dare I say, "G-O-T-C-H-A?"
Nite all,
Jack
(who would also have dangled a participle and used passive voice if time
had permitted)
