Courtney, I would try to sell the E11 on my own if I were you. If it is in
good, playable condition as you suggest, the clarinet could be worth in the
neighborhood of $500, especially if it has a decent mouthpiece. You might want
to take time to clean the case in order to make a pleasing presentation for
your clarinet.

The music company offered you $300 because that is most likely the wholesale
value. They expect to clean up the instrument, incur the costs of selling it,
and so on. If you sell to the music company, you would receive your payment
sooner and avoid the hassles of selling the clarinet yourself.
