No, actually, you would now be splitting an infinitive. But who cares?
I'm a clarinetist turned English teacher, and I've learned that everyone
has his or her own interests and talents (notice the pronoun/antecedent
agreement here), and it's best not to criticize. However, if you write
an article for a journal, I'll be glad to proof and edit for you.
