Can we take this copyright/contest student performance issue into the
realm of "counter-absurdity" and buy one extra copy (now we are to 3) to
send to the publishers with an enclosed "authorized" copy of this
discussion??!? The resultant processing and storage costs should 'aid'
them into discovering a better option.
It's just a thought . (and public domain, I haven't copyrighted it or
anything)
