It wasn't very long ago that suggestions were made
regarding a method for preventing screws from backing
out of their rods while playing. Did it involve clear
nail polish, or am I confusing that with painting
the butt of a reed to limit water absorption? In
fact, there were quick fix methods offered, and
then there were a couple of explanations with
more direct and permanent approaches to solving
the problem. I'd appreciate a brief re-sewing
of this thread in order to see what I might do
about a particularly pesky screw which refuses
to stay put on my bass clarinet.
