Yeah, yeah, yadda, yadda. I knew somebody would do what you just
did. I was hoping I wouldn't have to insert the seemingly obvious
disclaimer that the discussion is limited to performance applicants
for a performance program. That other options exist is obvious but
irrelevant to this particular thread. If you want to broaden, feel
free, but the respondents thus far (including myself) are concerned
with offering helpful insight to Mark Charrette's (sp?) questions
regarding his prospective-performance-major son auditioning for
the clarinet performance program at a college or conservatory.
I assume that if young Steve decides to double major in education
or administration, Mark will pose further questions to broaden
the scope of the discussion and include the other options and
issues which naturally arise.

Meanwhile, back on the Enterprise...
