If your sound producing system from the Mac has a line out and the
cassette recorder has a line in ... shouldn't be hard at all.

There is no such command on the klarinet listserv! (you _did_ save
those instructions from the listserv, right ?^) or sent the command
help
to the listserv to find out how to do things?)

In any case, you can -> unsubscribe <- from the klarinet list
or klarinet-digest ( unsubscribe <listname> ) but you can't do
much of anything else in the way of vacation stuff. What I suggest
is either:
1) Unsuscribing from klarinet and subscribing to the digest while
you're away (fewer mail messages stacked up) or
2) unsubscribe from klarinet and resubscribe when you get back. Retrieve
the missing articles from the server at your leisure using the
"get" command. For specific instructions on how to use this, issue
the "help" command to the listserv or visit my Klarinet helper
page at http://www.sneezy.org/clarinet/Klarinet which will issue
the proper commends for you, emailing the results back to you.

I don't know anything about the doublereed list; they may use a
completely different system.

Cheers,
