I would feel as if I lost a family member if my clarinet were stolen, Chris.
Does the Clarinet Pages have a page for listing stolen instruments? (I don't
recall seeing one.) That would be a wonderful resource for those of us who buy
old instruments to fix up. I am a member of my Neighborhood Crime Watch; a
stolen instruments page would be an extension of the idea...only on a global
basis.
