Subj: The "eefer" syndrome

This "eefer" thing I think is a band director thing. They are also the
one's who perpetuate the myth that any time an Eb clarinet is played it
will be painful. It's funny but I've never heard bad things about Eb's
from orchestra conductors only band directors. Maybe if band directors
could evolve their thinking from the 19th century park band and realize
that we (clarinetist) do treat it as a serious instrument and not as a
party horn.
