I do not normally get copies of "The Clarinet" because I am not a
member of the society, but this month Clarke Fobes sent me a copy because
I wrote one of the tributes to Mazzeo, so I looked the whole magazine
over and saw (and paid very close attention to) an article about playing
K. 622.

There is never anything that anyone has ever written that everyone will
say is completely perfect in all respects, but this was a very fine
and thoughtful article; well thought out, not insistent on a single point
of view, carefully researched, and provocative. There is a reference
at the end of the article that it is the first in a series of pieces
about playing K. 622. I hope that they are all as thoughtful and
as intelligent as this one.
