Interesting story I heard from a clarinetist here in town who subs quite a bit
with the New York Philharmonic. Seems Stanley Drucker, when he performs Mahler
(anything by Mahler) uses only the b-flat clarinet and transposes everything
for A or C. My friend wasn't sure what he does for low Es for the A clarinet.

Please send letters of outrage to Mr. Drucker, not to me.
