And why, for the price tou have to pay for rental music, doesn't
the publisher get the plates out of the basement and _correct_ the
=#$%^ thing?

And why, while I'm on the soapbox, don't the publishers either
create new plates or electronically redo the music? I have in front
of me the International Spohr #4. They suggest when performing with
piano to take a cut from A to B. Thank goodness they did - since
the entire section to B is printed with stems with skips, half notes
with upper sections indistinct, etc. It'd take a good half hour or
with an fine tip pen to fix up the page to be readable (never mind
that the section is printed significantly smaller than the rest of
the sections).
