If the Bb clarinet is a "beefer", is the bass clarinet a Quarter Pounder,
and the contrabass a Big Mac?
For those of you who want to be more "dignified", I suggest we use the Latin
"Re" for the D clarinet: we can now all refer to it proudly as a "Reefer".
