Subj: baroque trills

What is the right way to start Baroque trills? The soprano that I'm
working with feels that they always should be started from above and ended
with a two grace note pattern. I would normally check at a library but the
nearest good music library is 40 miles away. Also what is Colin Lawson's
e-mail?
