I recently acquired a wonderful wood mouthpiece for my Bb clarinet. You know
that "dark, centered tone" that we all strive for? Well, this mouthpiece
brings me close...

Unfortunately, the top of the mouthpiece shows considerable wear from teeth
marks. I'm talking "furrows" not just scratches. The rest of the mouthpiece is
mint. I don't have a "hold-on-for-dear-life" embouchure like the mouthpiece's
previous owner(s), but I don't want to cause further damage. Is there a way to
restore the mouthpiece? Could I spackle with grenadilla powder/hot stuff glue?
Should I just put an adhesive mouthpiece cushion on the mouthpiece? Or should
I not worry about the mouthpiece?
